TAG Deva fever begins!

Dr Caroline Pudney and Professor Howard Williams are leading the organisation of the 40th Annual Theoretical Archaeology Group conference at the University of Chester from 17th-19th December 2018.

We are supported by a range of students and staff in the Department of History and Archaeology, where we teach undergraduate degrees in Archaeology, both single honours and combined with a range of subjects.

We also teach a range of Masters programmes:

The Department has a burgeoning Archaeology postgraduate research community pursuing MPhils and PhDs.

The History and Archaeology department’s research focuses on prehistoric, early historic and contemporary archaeology in Britain and NW Europe, including expertise in landscape archaeology, carved stone monuments, mortuary archaeology and material culture.

The website and logo are set up and we have a Twitter account and Facebook page speedily fostering followers and spouting arch-theory!

Please follow us and consider attending the greatest archaeological gathering to ever come to Chester!
